ASSIST THE DEAF COMMUNITY

As we expand and grow, we are always looking for volunteers, board members, deaf, hard of hearing or deaf/blind and hearing persons to support our mission.

HELP WITH FUNDRAISING

The DAD Foundation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing takes pride in offering volunteer/employment opportunities for individuals who give their free time to help us fundraise to meet our goals.

We’ve been able to raise funds while participating in the Sportservice Non-Profit Program for the Detroit Tigers and Levy Restaurant for the Detroit Lions. (Sportservice is the premier provider of catering, concessions, fine dining, premium seats, retail and suites.)

In our 5th year with Sportservice and 2nd year with Levy Restaurant, we were able to raise enough money to fund our Youth Employment Program; ‘YEP’ is specifically designed for deaf and hard of hearing youth. The program gave deaf youth an opportunity not only to work, but to understand the dynamics in working and all that is involved in becoming employed.

EDUCATE/INFORM THE HEARING COMMUNITY

We need help in educating hearing society on how to receive, service and accommodate the Deaf Community.

Whether you are a homemaker, retired, sign language student/interpreter training program student, or just merely want to help, please contact us. We would love to have you join us.
